Las Palmas Gran Canaria

This was a very last minute holiday, booked on the Wednesday, we flew out on the Saturday - November 2015

We could only get a hotel in Las Palmas - our preference would have been Maspalomas
Las Palmas was ok nice beach - clothed there is a naturist beach in Las Palmas
El Canteras - quite a walk from the main are - there is an official naturist area that is sign posted but a total waste of time - the time we went there was no beach at all just sharp rocks and some rubbish we could find nowhere at all to sit so after a quick beer we left and spent the rest of the day on the textile beach ...... so we gave up on Las Palmas

We decided to head to Maspalomas - great bus service takes about 75 minutes
The beach is lovely and an official naturist beach - it is a bit of a walk to the centre of the beach where there is a sign showing the official naturist area - this is in front of a small hut selling beer etc hut 4 - if you walk further up the beach you get to hut 7 (there is no 5&6) you get to the gay area, we were there in the pride week so this was very busy - not sure if always as popular

There are a lot of people walking up and down the beach but not to many who are obviously spectators so no worries, the beach is lovely soft sand - can be windy so take a wind break if you can.
We went to Maspalomas for four days two of these days the life guards kept people out of the sea as it was really rough. When we did get into the sea it was very warm
