Petrol Stoves
I have always been a bit of a fan of petrol stoves for travelling,
almost anywhere in the world you can get petrol, no worries about
having the right canister etc - if you are on the motorbike you
should always have fuel with you.
SEVA 123
When your stove absolutely positively has to work and not piss you
around when your freezing your nuts off !
It may not be the most efficient or the most adjustable - but it
will always work, give off lots of heat and make a brew
the design is around one hundred years old ... to light half fill
with petrol - splash some petrol over the cooker and light, yes
there will be a bit of a fireball as this burns down turn the
stove on
the heat generated will heat the fuel and pressurise the fuel tank
There is no pump to fail - almost nothing to go wrong.
Cost new around £100
no need to carry spare parts etc
For an additional burner - the coleman 424 is a great petrol stove
- this is more for car travel as a bit big / heavy for a
motorcycle
